Cyberattacks: Oodrive launches an operational crisis platform that remains functional even with the IT system down

As cyberattacks increasingly cripple information systems, Oodrive is launching a cyber-resilience platform capable of remaining operational even in the event of a total system outage. Hosted and operated in France, this sovereign solution is designed for critical organizations facing the requirements of NIS2 and DORA.

A context that demands enhanced cyber-resilience

ANSSI’s 2024 Cyber Threat Landscape report confirms an intensification of attacks, with a 15% increase in one year in the private sector and a 73% increase in the public sector.

But the main point of failure is no longer just the attack itself; it is companies’ dependence on their information systems. When an information system is compromised, communication tools, critical documents, and recovery plans become simultaneously inaccessible.

In this context, the regulatory framework is tightening. The NIS2, DORA, and REC directives aim to raise the level of cybersecurity in companies while directly holding executives accountable, with penalties that can reach several million euros.

A collaborative crisis management platform designed to function even with the IT system down

Oodrive’s cyber resilience offering is based on a collaborative platform hosted on Oodrive’s trusted infrastructure. Designed as a true “survival kit” in the event of a cyberattack, it remains immediately accessible even when the company’s information system is completely unavailable.

Three key features:

  • Complete independence from the IT system: the crisis environment remains accessible even in the event of ransomware or a complete shutdown
  • Guaranteed sovereignty: solution designed, developed, and hosted in France, outside the scope of extraterritorial laws
  • Immediate activation: access and workspaces made available as soon as the crisis begins

The architecture is based on a shared or dedicated infrastructure certified as SecNumCloud 3.2 by ANSSI, which is compartmentalized and highly secure (MFA, HSM encryption, penetration testing, granular access management).

Anticipating and managing the crisis without disrupting operations

Before a crisis, the platform enables organizations to centralize their business continuity and disaster recovery plans (BCDR), as well as their critical documents, in an environment isolated from the main IT system.

Teams can prepare their crisis response teams, define roles, and set up their collaboration spaces in advance.

During a crisis, teams have immediate access to a fully operational environment, including:

  • access to critical documents,
  • collaborative document editing,
  • secure sharing both internally and externally,
  • and communication channels — chat, video conferencing, and email — that are independent of the compromised IT system to ensure uninterrupted communication.

To support its customers over the long term, Oodrive complements this offering with a support package that includes training, participation in crisis drills, and 24/7 support based in France.

Stanislas de Rémur, CEO of Oodrive :
“The real risk today isn’t just the attack itself; it’s the inability to operate once the IT system has been compromised. Too many companies discover in a crisis that their contingency plans are inaccessible or dependent on the very infrastructure that has been attacked.
With this platform, we’ve chosen a crisis environment that is completely independent, 100% French, and designed to remain operational when everything else is down.”
