European defense company MBDA has adopted Oodrive’s electronic signature solution in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The company progressively deployed the solution across various departments, starting with Human Resources and Procurement.
MBDA is a leading missile company, employing approximately 14,000 people in France, the UK, Italy, Germany, and Spain. This choice has allowed MBDA to bring more fluidity and security to its different signing processes, beyond digitization. The project to implement an electronic signature solution allowing secure and efficient document signing, already under consideration, accelerated in the context of the sanitary crisis. The project began with gathering needs from different departments. This step identified use cases and interested business sectors.

The deployment process for different use cases was validated by MBDA’s security officials. Initially deployed in Human Resources, the use of electronic signatures then extended to other departments.
Human Resources
The HR department uses electronic signatures primarily for employment contracts. The Oodrive teams showed great responsiveness in implementing Oodrive Sign APIs linked with Workday, allowing process automation for managing the reorganizing of the metallurgy convention.
Over 1500 documents, including employment contract amendments for some employees, were signed electronically.
Procurement and Supply Chain
Around twenty people, located at various sites in France, use electronic signatures for procurement and supply chain processes.
